Scheduling photographers to come on the podcast isn’t as easy as you might think. Sometimes schedules don’t line up, and other times people just don’t feel comfortable coming on to talk about their photography. I get it. So, it’s always nice when a listening requests someone, especially someone that is new to me.
A listener of The Landscape Photography Show reached out and informed me that Denise Vasquez is not only an inspiring photographer, but she’s also on a mission to educate the public and the park system on how to make public lands accessible to the disabled community. I’m always interested to hear new information, and I admit that I had never thought about the lack of accessible areas in the places we all love to visit.
In this episode of The Landscape Photography Show, Denise Vasquez and I discuss:
How she got started in photography and then landscape photography
Using mindfulness to shape your outlook and your creative perspective
The Disabled Photographer Project
Making parks more accessible to the disabled community
And more!
