When I began taking photography seriously back in 2010 there were three blogs that I followed religiously; Ian Plant, Richard Bernabe, and Michael Frye. Michael has always had the ability to capture stunning images of the WOW, but also doing so in a way that was peaceful.
It’s always fun chatting with photographers who have inspired you over the years, especially when they are as introspective and thoughtful about the craft of photography as Michael can be. I had a blast chatting with him about what motivates him to get out and capture stunning scenes of nature.
In this edition of The Landscape Photography Show, Michael Frye and I discuss:
Internal and external motivations in photography
Photographing the same places over and over
Experiencing nature in a group versus alone
Capturing images that are unique and how it might be easier than you think
His greatest era of growth in his photographic journey
And more!
