There is not much I could type on this page that you didn’t already know about Enrico Fossati. Enrico’s name has become synonymous with some of the most well respected and admired photographers on the planet. I was very familiar with his work, of course, but I really wanted to talk more about his background in photography.
One of the most interesting topics that came up a couple of times during our interview was his deep love and appreciation for the arts. Based on a couple of comments Enrico made, I could tell that he was very aware of art history and different styles of art. That’s interesting because in a way Enrico has tapped into those styles and used them to develop his photographic style. Because this concept is a foreign one to me, I had to ask, do photographers who have a strong upbringing with the arts have more chances to fold different art mediums into their work?"
