Landscape, nature, and outdoor photography genres are all going through a very interesting renaissance period right now. New technology is giving plenty of photographers new ways of capturing their vision of the world. We actually have the ability now to make extremely sharp prints that are ten feet long. We have technology that connects our posts to millions of people all across the globe. We even have tiny flying helicopters that let us capture new ways of seeing landscapes that no one else has captured before.

In this episode of The Landscape Photography Show, Jason Hatfield and I discuss several topics based on the idea of how we can help protect the places we shoot. Recently, Jason has been doing an excellent job of capturing stills and videos from the sky with his drone. One of the things we discussed was how photographers can continue to fly drones with impending regulations that may be more strict. Canada has already created strict drone regulations. Could the United States be next, and how does Jason capture his drone photos while still flying responsibly?
