Should Photographers Shoot Video With Greg Snell

I’ll admit that I haven’t been following Greg Snell for a prolonged period of time. Don’t let that dissuade you from listening to him, though. That’s on me. Greg is a fantastic talent with a camera. He not only captures stunning images of some of the most beautiful places on earth, but he’s also a wizard with video too.

In this podcast episode, Greg and I discuss his journey in photography and how it has been dominated by a nomadic lifestyle, although that could change thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. We also discuss his involvement with the F/4 Road Trip with fellow photographers Thomas Heaton, Nick Page, Adam Gibbs, and Gavin Hardcastle.

One of the biggest takeaways I got from talking with Greg was about video. I get asked all the time why I spend so much time on YouTube when it’s a saturated platform (other people’s words, not mine.) Greg’s answer was said better than I could ever state my feelings about why photographers should learn how to do more video with their cameras.
