There’s constantly a lot of discussion that goes on within the landscape photography community about what is photograph and what isn’t. If you look at the official definition of “photography” it reads the art or practice of taking and processing photographs.
The three words that you need to focus on in that definition are art, taking, and processing. Whether you like the in field work or the processing work, the art form that is photography consists of both practices. Today’s guest likes to technically and creatively push photography with his inspiring images. Joshua Snow likes to create photos that go beyond what you may typically think.
In this episode, I wanted to talk with Joshua Snow about a lot of topics. First, I wanted to ask him how he practices photography. It’s always informative to peak into the minds of photographers to glimpse at how they view the world and see a landscape through their creative vision.
I also wanted to discuss the practice of composites with Joshua Snow. Since Joshua creates composites, I wanted to hear about the push-back he gets sometimes about the images he creates. Not only that, but I wanted to hear how his workshop participants react to scenes he has composed with his creative style.
