The most common question that I get from people when I tell them that I’m a landscape photographer full-time is, “Sooo… how do you make money?”
Business is tied to finances.
Finances are tied to paying the bills.
Even if your job is your passion, you still have responsibilities that need to be met.
However, throughout my journey as a photographer, I’ve found that the majority of photographers struggle with business.
In a recent YouTube video I made, Adam Gibbs gave the advice that anyone looking to make any money in photography needs to take a business course.
I agree.
However, that comment got me thinking, “Do photographers suck at business or does business suck for photographers?”
This thesis led me down a day-long rabbit hole of how our brain hemispheres operate, the personalities of entrepreneurs, and even my own streams of income.
My thoughts about business were way different than when I started researching for this episode.
